Organizations may choose to outsource only the staffing of peer programming to another organization.  The programming will be fully run by the host organization, but the staff will be employed by the contracted organization and outsourced to provide peer services for the host organization. In this case, the contracted organization may be responsible for the following:

  • Organizational assessment
  • Peer program implementation support
  • Staff recruitment, hiring, onboarding, peer staff training & professional development, peer-delivered supervision, and ongoing professional development
  • Peer service delivery
  • Collaboration & training with the host organization

Organizations may choose to employ their peer staff directly but desire support in providing peer supervision.  This opportunity is often combined with additional elements of technical assistance in developing and implementation of peer programs.  In this case, the contracted organization may be responsible for:

  • Supervision process assessment
  • Peer-delivered staff supervision
  • Peer staff training & professional development
  • Collaboration & training with the host organization

Organizations may find that they have a desire for additional support in addition to some of the opportunities above or that they are in need only of technical assistance.  This technical assistance is typically highly customizable to an organization’s needs and can be provided as a one-time service or on an ongoing basis.  In this case, the responsibilities of the contracted organization may include:

  • Organizational assessment
  • Peer program policy & procedure development
  • Peer program development & implementation support
  • Peer staff recruitment, retention, and workforce development support
