Shawn Cunningham is Treasurer of the Recovery Options Made Easy Board of Directors. He is the Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Suburban Adult Services, Inc. He has been on the Recovery Options Board of Directors since 2002. As a long-time board member, Shawn has seen many changes in community need and in the services Recovery Options provides to meet those needs. 

Shawn, a native of Erie, Pennsylvania, graduated from Gannon University in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Finance; minoring in Business Administration. Prior to his career with SASi, he was an auditor for the NYS Office of People with Developmental Disabilities in the Bureau of Management Fiscal Audit. 

Shawn’s commitment to those with intellectual and developmental disabilities extends to his role as treasurer for the Development Disabilities Awareness Day Committee. He is a Consolidated Fiscal Reporting Consultant for various Mental Hygiene Agencies across New York State. In 2009, he was nominated for Business First CFO of the Year.

Shawn’s extensive interests include the arts, architecture, antiques, film, gardening, literature, music, theater, and travel.
