Room to Recover

Recovery Options means HOME. The foundation of the Housing Support program through Recovery Options Made Easy is based on choice, community integration and regaining independence through several types of supported housing. Regardless of housing type eligibility, our peers and partners—across six Western New York counties—provide safe, affordable housing specific to your experienced and current trauma. When accepted, a peer housing specialist will work with you and/or your family to select an apartment. You can look at three apartments in the community of your choice. Through it all, our peer-certified advocates understand that a house is more than shelter—it’s often the foundation of your recovery.

A Place to Base Your Recovery

You always come first in your recovery. That’s why in all Recovery Options Made Easy Housing Support programs, you sign the lease. Our program then helps with security deposits, start-up furnishings, and (if necessary) a stipend for up to 70% of your new rent expense—depending on your or your family’s income. As everyone’s recovery needs and experiences vary, Recovery Options brings a few Housing Support options home for you to consider.

The Golden Thread Woven Throughout

Housing is often the first step in your recovery experience. Each step after is supported by ROME peers who have been down similar roads and know how recovery progresses. We pair our Housing Support, and all our programs, with guided Peer Support for an all-encompassing recovery plan. Peer Support helps to empower you with a variety of wellness and recovery options. Housing Support at ROME is more than a roof over your head. In addition to shelter and independence, you can leverage Peer Support and other services on your continuing journey of recovery.
