Katie Connors is the Vice President of the Recovery Options Made Easy Board of Directors. She is a Project Director for CASA-Trinity, Inc. (Council on Alcohol and Substance Abuse). The clinic offers treatment for substance use disorders, along with Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT). The goal is to create a circle of treatment options, so that each of our clients gain a complete care approach with their treatment plan. In her role, she supports prevention, treatment and recovery services in the Western New York region through federally funded grant initiatives.
Katie believes that the rural community has historically been an underserved population, significantly so in the mental health and substance use field, making it her focus while servicing in the public health sector.
She has served on the Recovery Options Board since 2021 and was appointed Vice President in 2022. Her experience in mental health and substance use has provided insights integral to delivering services in rural communities. Since 2019, Katie also served on the New York State Public Health Association Board of Directors. Katie has recently worked with a team to open a drop-in focused Recovery Center in Olean, NY, creating sober activities for those in recovery, allies, and friends.
Outside of work, Katie enjoys running, yoga, reading and cooking. You can find her in her lifelong hometown near Ellicottville with her daughters, dog and spouse. During the summer you can find her on the lake and in the winter more than likely, cozied up with books, movies and cocoa.
