JOB SUMMARY
The Intensive Respite Clinical Mental/Behavioral Health Program Manager will provide oversight for daily operations of the ROME Respite Services. This includes clinical supervision of respite staff, conducting intake/assessments, coordinating referrals to the respite program, data tracking activities, meeting with respite participants as needed, and other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of respite programming.
- Responsible for maintaining Staff Schedule to ensure coverage for all shifts.
- Monitors referrals as needed. Ensure the completion of relevant paperwork to notify MCO’s to ensure eligibility for services.
- Review all assessments for completeness of related paperwork including consents and participant agreements.
- Ensure that all case records are in compliance and all paperwork is completed according to Standards of Care and licensing regulations.
- Ensure compliance with all Agency and Program policies and procedures.
- Ensures Staff compliance with all required trainings/certifications.
- On site supervision with staff on a minimal monthly basis. Assist in Performance Reviews for all assigned respite staff.
- Provide consultation and clinical supervision to staff.
- Work in collaboration with community providers, team members, and external partners
- Completes and signs off on required documentation and paperwork, including biopsychosocial assessments and treatment planning and implementation in a timely manner.
- Demonstrates cultural competency and address participant issues/concerns.
- Train Staff on program components and use of EHR.
- Maintains a Trauma-Informed environment.
- Represent ROME in the community and at public events, conferences, etc.
- Demonstrates commitment to the philosophy of the agency.
- Prepares reports as requested by the Clinical Director.
- Acts as an advocate and helps clients gain access to resources while confronting their personal issues.
- Flexible Schedule.
- Lived experience of mental health or substance abuse preferred.
- Other duties as assigned.

TECHNOLOGY, EQUIPMENT OR TOOLS:
Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Word, Power Point, Teams, Outlook. Evidence of skills demonstrated by the ability to perform all the basic functions within each program; including but not limited to maintaining a calendar, sending e-mail, creating letters, creating presentations for training or marketing, as well as the ability to create and edit workbooks. General office equipment is used including fax machine, computer and phone system.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit while using hands and eyes to drive from office to office, over (100) one hundred miles per day, as well as in using a computer or other technologies. The employee frequently is required to see, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, climb stairs and reach with hands and arms.
The employee may need to lift and/or move up to (35) thirty-five pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually light.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- NYS licensure in Nursing (RN), Mental Health Counseling (LMHC), or Clinical Social Work (LCSW), or OTR required
- At least 2 years’ experience providing program oversight and clinical supervision
- Experience working in a community setting providing behavioral health counseling.
- Ability to obtain NY Academy of Peer Services certification within 6 months of hire notification.
- Ability to research and identify community resources.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and the ability to maintain records and prepare narrative and statistical reports.
- Understanding of the public behavioral health system and principles of psychiatric rehabilitation.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
· Must have knowledge of clinical supervision practice, relevant community resources and mental health treatment system structure, common mental disabilities, basic behavior theory and principles of psychiatric rehabilitation, multi-disciplinary team methodology, common psychotropic medications, and direct service delivery methods and theory.
· Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and the ability to maintain records and prepare reports.
· Minimum proficiency with Windows based software applications is required.
