Rachel holds a Master of Nonprofit Management degree from Regis University with academic honor society recognitions as a member of both Alpha Sigma Nu and Nu Lambda Mu. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre from the State University of New York at Buffalo and has additional professional training in mediation and Special Education.
Rachel’s nonprofit career spans nearly 30 years. For a decade of that time, she worked as an educator for children and young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and co-occurring mental health diagnoses. She went on to become an experienced case manager in a variety of organizations serving children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, people accessing community mental health services, and parents developing custody and visitation agreements. In many of the organizations for which she has worked, Rachel has been a leader in advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives through policy design and review and staff development.
